The Cobras continue to strive daily to improve their soccer skills and to push themselves to the next level.  Once again we thank our dedicated volunteer coaches for their commitment to our players and making our program the # 1 Volunteer-based Travel Soccer Program in South Florida.

Also, parking at the Cooper City Sports Complex has gotten out of hand. Vehicles are being parked in fire lanes, no parking areas, in front of access gates and people are making their own parking spaces in the paved parking lots. This is causing a safety issue for everyone. Emergency vehicles cannot access our fields in case a participant is injured.  Starting the week of November 14, 2016 the Broward Sheriff's Office will be issuing warnings to vehicles parked in fire lanes, no parking areas, unmarked parking spaces, and vehicles blocking gates.

Starting the week of November 28, 2016 the Broward Sheriff's Office will be issuing parking citations that can cost you $100 or more.  There is ample parking at the Cooper City Sports Complex. Please park in designated parking spaces in the paved parking lots or in the grass field by the basketball courts.

Thank you for your cooperation!

12/25/2017   Travel Program Update

Message from the Soccer Board to all our Cobra travel soccer membership.

The Sports Complex soccer fields will be closed for winter seeding until Saturday, Jan 6th

Folks, we are about to begin the final third of our REGULAR season and this is when the competition “heats up” with some of the year’s biggest events coming up like:

·         Dimitri Cup in Naples in January with age groups playing in 3 separate weekends.

·         The Weston Presidents Day Tournament.

·         The conclusion of the SFUYSA Regular Season League in the final week of February including division playoffs for the U12 and older age groups.

·         The FYSA Commissioners Cup State Championship in March for the U11 and older age groups.

We also want to take this opportunity to say a few THANK YOU’S.

·         First, thank YOU for your support with the City of Cooper City to approve the design of the new Flamingo Stirling SPORTS COMPLEX last week at City Hall.  Your emails to members of the City Council and the presence of the entire 40 plus Optimist Board at the hearing including over two dozen travel Soccer Coaches and Team Managers and over 30 travel players in their full battle war regalia packed the meeting hall helping ensure the approval of the new park design.

·         Second, our thanks to our 37 travel Soccer COACHES and 9 TEAM MANAGERS without whom we would not be able to field our 15 travel soccer teams and over 200 travel soccer players.  We are very grateful to these dedicated volunteers and all the time and passion they put into making our player development program truly special.

·         Finally, it should also be noted that none of our coaches nor parents have been suspended by our league (SFUYSA) for misconduct nor any of our teams fined for administrative violations.

We are also proud of our travel team’s accomplishments to date such as:

·         U9G - United Cup Finalist

·         U9G - Miami Dade Soccer League (MDSL) Early Season CHAMPIONS

·         U9G - Plantation Thanksgiving Classic CHAMPIONS

·         U11B - West Pines Kick off Tournament CHAMPIONS.

·         U11G -Labor Day Mega Cup CHAMPIONS

·         U11G - Miami Dade Soccer League (MDSL) Early Season CHAMPIONS

·         U11G - West Pines Classic Finalist

·         U12G - Labor Day Mega Cup CHAMPIONS

·         U13G - Adidas Mega Cup Finalist

·         U13G - Plantation Thanksgiving Classic CHAMPIONS

·         U14G - Plantation Thanksgiving Classic Finalist

·         U15G - West Pines Classic Finalist

Our OPTIONAL Spring Travel Season will begin in late March with ANNUAL TRYOUTS for next year’s travel season starting in mid-April.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all and GOOD LUCK in the final third of our REGULAR SEASON.
